What problem does the Orbi 770 Series solve?

The Orbi 770 Series is built for one job: holding mesh speed across a large or awkward house. The dedicated backhaul band meant the second node lost almost nothing, measuring 574 Mbps at distance from two units, and two nodes covered what took three from most kits. That is the whole case for it. In a big or brick-walled house, two nodes will do what three cheaper ones cannot.

It is a Wi-Fi 7 (BE11000) tri-band mesh system with a 2.5 Gbps WAN port, sold as a 2-pack rated for 6,000 sq ft. The hardware is solid and well built with good thermal behaviour. The catch is the price: $699 for two nodes, and Netgear Armor security sits behind a subscription after the trial.
