What should I check before buying a stroller?
Scoring weights manoeuvring and ride at 25, fold and portability at 20, comfort and features at 20, build and safety at 15, and value at 20. Weigh those against your own week.
- Where you push it. The Thule Urban Glide 3 has the best gravel-path comfort here with 16" air tyres and rear suspension, but air tyres can puncture. The Graco Modes Pramette's plastic wheels rattled on gravel.
- Your boot and your stairs. The Nuna MIXX next is the heaviest here at 28 lb. The Vista V3 is 27 lb and filled the Civic boot. The BABYZEN YOYO2 is 13.6 lb and folds in two seconds.
- Newborn use. The Vista V3 includes a bassinet. The Graco Modes Pramette's seat converts to a pram. The City Mini GT2 has no bassinet in the box and its car seat adapter is extra.
