Editorial policy

Real people only. Every publishable page has a named author with a public profile. No personas, no "staff" byline.
Tested, not summarised. A product gets a score only after a test run is recorded. Scores are computed from sub-scores; nobody types a score.
At most five winners per category. Everything else we tested is reviewed honestly with "where it lost" and "still right for".
Dated everything. Prices carry a checked-on date and a next-check date. Every page has a changelog. Amazon prices carry an "as of" timestamp and refresh within 24 hours.
No fake reviews. The community board carries reader questions and tester answers — never user reviews, testimonials or fake user posts. Staff-seeded questions are labeled.
Corrections. Errors are fixed in the page's changelog with what was wrong. Email corrections@rankingright.com.
Regulated topics. Insurance and loan pages are compared, not sold; they carry a "not licensed advice" notice and never use lead forms that collect sensitive data on our domain.
