Visible (Visible) review 2027
Verizon's own $25 unlimited with taxes included and unlimited hotspot — no throttling of the price when you add lines because there are no lines to add
Is the Visible Worth It?
Best cheap unlimited plan. For $25 all-in Visible gives you Verizon's network and hotspot nobody else offers at the price. You are at the back of the queue when towers are busy, which showed at 5 pm downtown and nowhere else in our month.
Visible Pros & Cons
- $25 flat with taxes and fees included
- Unlimited hotspot at 5 Mbps
- Verizon coverage; Visible+ adds 5G Ultra Wideband priority
- Owned by Verizon, so no MVNO uncertainty
- Base plan is always deprioritised — slowest rush-hour speeds we measured
- One line per account; no family discounts
- Support by chat in the app only
What problem does Visible solve, and who is it for?
Visible is the cheapest way onto Verizon's network that we tested, and it is the only plan in this group that pairs a $25 all-in price with unlimited hotspot. The $25 is flat: taxes and fees are included, so the number on the site is the number on the bill. It is built for single lines that want Verizon coverage cheaply, and that is exactly the buyer it fits.
The trade-off is stated plainly by the plan itself. The base plan carries no premium data, so it is always deprioritised, and our month of testing found the slowest rush-hour speeds we measured. That showed at 5 pm downtown and nowhere else in our month. If your data use is spread across the day rather than concentrated in the evening commute, the price is hard to argue with.
How did we score Visible?
We scored Visible across five criteria for a total of 8.7 out of 10.
- Value — 27 out of 30. We measured the monthly price for one line of unlimited with taxes and fees, and the multi-line price for four. Visible charges $25 for one line and $100 total for four.
- Coverage & network — 22 out of 25. We recorded which network the plan runs on and measured signal at our 12 metro and two rural test points. Visible runs on Verizon.
- Data & speed — 15 out of 20. We looked at median download speed across 30 days, the premium-data cap, and how hard the plan is deprioritised when the tower is busy. Visible's median download was 78 Mbps, and the base plan has no premium data at all.
- Perks & features — 14 out of 15. We counted hotspot allowance, international use, streaming bundles, phone deals, Wi-Fi calling and eSIM. Visible includes hotspot and Mexico and Canada on Visible+.
- Service — 9 out of 10. We timed minutes to reach support, judged app quality, and checked how easy it was to leave. Visible's support is chat in the app only.
Where does Visible stand out?
Three things carried the score. The first is the price: $25 flat with taxes and fees included, which is the lowest all-in figure among the plans we tested at this tier. The second is hotspot. Visible lists 999 GB of hotspot, and the plan's own description calls it unlimited hotspot at 5 Mbps. No rival here matches that allowance at the price.
The third is the network. Visible runs on Verizon and is owned by Verizon, so there is no MVNO uncertainty about whose towers you are on or whether the arrangement will change. Our measured median download was 78 Mbps across the 30 days, which is a real number from our own testing rather than a carrier claim. Visible+ adds 5G Ultra Wideband priority for buyers who want to move up the queue.
What is in the plan, and how is it built?
The plan is prepaid and carrier-owned, sold under the Visible name on Verizon's network. There is no contract. The base plan has no premium data and is deprioritised; Visible+ carries 50 GB of premium data. Hotspot is listed at 999 GB. International use covers Mexico and Canada on Visible+, not on the base plan. One line is $25 a month and four lines are $100 a month total.
How does Visible compare with the competition?
T-Mobile is postpaid with device financing and the fastest network in our metro tests. Visible wins on price and hotspot; T-Mobile wins on premium data and international breadth.
Against US Mobile at 8.7, the scores are level and the one-line price is identical at $25. US Mobile lets you pick Verizon, T-Mobile or AT&T and switch between them, carries 35 GB of premium data and 10 GB of hotspot, and offers add-on international passes. Visible counters with the larger hotspot allowance and Verizon ownership.
Against AT&T Prepaid at 8.5, Visible is ahead on score at the same $25 one-line price. AT&T Prepaid has no premium data either and is deprioritised, with 10 GB of hotspot and Mexico and Canada included, but it requires prepaying 12 months for the best rate and gives you stores and phone support that Visible does not.

| International | Mexico and Canada on Visible+ | Add-on passes; free in 90+ countries on Premium | Unlimited texting, 2G data in 215+ countries; more on higher plans | Mexico and Canada included |
Where does Visible fall short?
The base plan is always deprioritised, and that produced the slowest rush-hour speeds we measured. Our testing put the problem at 5 pm downtown and nowhere else in the month, so it is a peak-hour issue rather than a constant one, but it is the reason the plan lost points on data and speed.
There is one line per account and no family discounts, so the $100 four-line figure is not a discount structure you can lean on the way you can with the multi-line plans here. Support is chat in the app only, with no phone line and no stores. And the base plan leaves out the international coverage and the 50 GB of premium data that Visible+ adds.
Is Visible good value for money?
At $25 for one line and $100 total for four lines, with taxes and fees included, Visible is the cheapest all-in route to Verizon's network in this comparison. The hotspot allowance is the largest here by a wide margin, and the plan carries no contract. For a single line that wants Verizon coverage cheaply, the value is straightforward.
Who should buy Visible?
Visible is right for single lines that want Verizon coverage cheaply. If you are one person, you want the Verizon network, you want hotspot included, and you are not fighting for bandwidth at 5 pm downtown, this is the plan to take. If you need premium data, international use on the base plan, family lines or phone support, look at Visible+ or at one of the rivals above instead.
