What problem does ActivTrak solve for managers?

ActivTrak answers the question most managers actually have — who is drowning and where does the day go — without turning the team into suspects. That is the verdict from our two-week test with five workers, and it is why the product scored 8.9 and ranked first among the seven employee monitoring tools we tested.

Where does ActivTrak stand out?

The strongest result is proportionality: 24 out of 25. Employees see their own focus time and productivity data by default, and there is no keystroke logging at all, by design. That combination is rare in this category.

Teramind scored 7.4 at $12 per user per month. It is the most powerful product here and the most invasive: keystroke logging, session recording, OCR of everything on screen and rules that block actions in real time. It covers Windows, macOS, Linux, Citrix and VDI, and workers do not see their own data. It is aimed at regulated industries and insider-threat programmes. ActivTrak is ahead on score, price and worker visibility; Teramind is ahead on forensic depth and platform breadth.
