What separates the best online courses for creatives?
Three platforms, three different jobs. Udemy scores 7.5 and costs $20 per course. MasterClass scores 6.3 at $10. Skillshare scores 6.1 at $13.99.
Udemy is the catalogue play: 250,000 courses, lifetime access to anything you buy, and a 30-day refund. The catch is quality varies enormously, so read the reviews and the update date before you pay. Certificates carry no external recognition.
MasterClass is film-quality production with genuinely famous instructors, and the TV apps make it a good watch on the sofa. It has no exercises, no feedback and no certificates, and it is not for job skills.
Skillshare sits between them. Every class ends in a project you post for feedback, and the illustration, Procreate, design and photography catalogue is strong. There are no certificates, and it is thin outside creative subjects.
What should you check before buying a creative course?

- Catalogue (25): if you want one specific tool, Udemy's 250,000 courses is the reason to start there.
