OnePlus 11 5G CPH2451 North America 256GB 16GB Titan Black US review (2027)

What problem does the OnePlus 11 5G solve, and what do you get?

The OnePlus 11 5G is the phone for a buyer who wants flagship performance without paying a flagship price. It pairs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with a 50MP Hasselblad-tuned main camera (Sony IMX890, OIS, f/1.8) and shipped at $699, undercutting rivals with comparable specs by hundreds of dollars. That combination is why it earns the label of best value flagship of its generation.

The benefits show up in the areas that matter day to day. Independent testing found stellar, above-average battery life, and the Hasselblad-tuned camera performs well in low light. Charging is fast even without wireless charging. For anyone who wants a fast, long-lasting phone with a capable camera and does not want to spend four figures, this is the core appeal.

How did it score in our testing?

We break the score down across five criteria, each with its own maximum.

• Performance: 8.5 out of 25. This measures chipset generation and real-world speed under gaming, multitasking and sustained load, per official specs and reviewer benchmarks.
• Battery: 9.5 out of 25. This covers capacity, charging speed and reviewer-measured runtime under mixed use.
• Camera: 8 out of 20. This reflects photo and video quality across lighting conditions, per reviewer consensus.
• Display: 8 out of 15. This covers panel type, refresh rate, brightness and outdoor visibility.
• Value: 9.5 out of 15. This weighs price against what the phone delivers relative to its peers.

The pattern is clear: battery and value carry the strongest scores, while performance and camera sit in the middle of their ranges. The overall score lands at 8.7, placing it fifth among the 14 phones tested in this category.

Where does the OnePlus 11 5G stand out?

Three strengths came through in testing.

First, battery life. Independent testing described it as stellar and above average, and the 9.5 out of 25 in our battery criterion reflects that. This is the kind of phone that gets you through a heavy day without hunting for a charger.

Second, the camera in low light. The 50MP Hasselblad-tuned main camera uses a Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture, and reviewers found it performs well when the light drops. That is the scenario where cheaper phones usually fall apart.

Third, charging speed. Even without wireless charging, the wired charging is fast, which softens the absence of a charging pad.

How does it compare with its rivals?

Against the OnePlus 15 CPH2749 North America 512GB 16GB Infinite Black, which scored 9.1, the OnePlus 11 5G gives up ground on the overall score. The OnePlus 15 carries an original price of $999.99, so the older model remains the cheaper route to the OnePlus experience.

The OnePlus 13 CPH2655 North America 512GB 16GB Arctic Dawn scored 8.8 and also lists an original price of $999.99. It edges the OnePlus 11 5G by a fraction on score at a higher price.

The Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max scored 9.1, and the Apple iPhone 18 Pro scored 9.0. Both sit above the OnePlus 11 5G on overall score, and neither is a budget proposition.

Where the OnePlus 11 5G is ahead is value. Its 9.5 out of 15 in that criterion is the strongest part of its scorecard, and its $699 launch price is the reason. Where it is behind is the raw overall score against the newer OnePlus models and the Apple flagships. If you want the highest score in this group, the OnePlus 15 and iPhone 18 Pro Max lead at 9.1. If you want the most phone per dollar, the OnePlus 11 5G makes the stronger case.

Where does the OnePlus 11 5G fall short?

Two drawbacks are worth knowing before you buy.

There is no wireless charging. If you have a charging pad on your desk or in your car, this phone will not use it. You will be plugging in a cable every time.

The software update window is shorter than what Samsung and Google flagships offer. If you plan to keep a phone for many years and want the longest possible support runway, that is a real consideration.

Who should buy the OnePlus 11 5G?

This phone suits the value-seeking buyer. If you want flagship-grade battery life, a camera that holds up in low light and fast charging, and you are willing to trade wireless charging and a longer update window to keep the price down, the OnePlus 11 5G is built for you.

It is also a sensible pick for anyone upgrading from an older mid-range phone who wants a clear jump in speed and endurance without moving into the $999.99 tier occupied by the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 13. The 8.7 overall score and fifth-place finish among 14 tested phones reflect a device that is not the highest scorer in the group, but is the one that asks the least of your wallet for what it delivers.
