Apple iPhone 17 review (2026)
Is the Apple iPhone 17 Worth It?
Boringly extraordinary, per Macworld — and meant as a compliment. Macworld's review of the iPhone 17 called it 'boringly extraordinary': the A19 chip and 8GB RAM deliver flagship-class performance, and the 48MP Fusion main, 48MP ultrawide and 12MP 2x telephoto system produced noticeably better low-light and selfie photos than the iPhone 16, with 4K60 Dolby Vision video across all three lenses. Battery life improved meaningfully over the previous generation to a genuine all-day phone.
Apple iPhone 17 Pros & Cons
- A19 chip delivers flagship-class performance
- Noticeably better low-light photos and selfies than the iPhone 16
- All-day battery life, improved over the prior generation
- Starting price still a step above Android value flagships
