Norton 360 Deluxe (5 devices) review 2027
The most complete bundle: strong protection plus an unlimited VPN, 50 GB cloud backup, a password manager and parental controls — at the highest renewal price
Is the Norton 360 Deluxe Worth It?
Best all-in-one security suite. If you want one subscription that covers antivirus, VPN, passwords, backup and the kids, Norton is the only suite here that includes all of it without asterisks. You pay for it at renewal and in a little speed.
Norton 360 Deluxe Pros & Cons
- Unlimited VPN, password manager and 50 GB backup included
- Norton Family parental controls in the box
- Caught 99.5% of our samples; 6/6 in AV-Test
- 100% Virus Protection Promise refund
- Renews at $119.99 — most expensive here
- Heaviest slowdown of the paid suites in our copy test
- Persistent upsell notifications
What problem does Norton 360 Deluxe solve?
Norton 360 Deluxe is the only suite in this test that includes antivirus, an unlimited VPN, a password manager, 50 GB of cloud backup and parental controls in one subscription without asterisks. That matters if you would otherwise buy three or four separate services and manage three or four renewals. The bundle is the pitch, and it is the reason this suite finished third of seven with a score of 8.1.

The trade-off is stated plainly in our verdict: you pay for the bundle at renewal and in a little speed. First-year pricing is $49.99, the same as several rivals, but the renewal is $119.99 per year.
How did we score Norton 360 Deluxe?
We scored five criteria for a maximum of 100 points.
- Protection — 32 of 35. We weigh independent lab results from AV-Test and AV-Comparatives alongside detection of our 200 recent malware samples and 50 phishing URLs.
- Performance — 15 of 20. We measure slowdown of file copy, app launch and web browsing on the same laptop with the suite installed, versus a clean image.
- Features — 15 of 15. We check firewall, ransomware rollback, VPN, password manager, parental controls and identity monitoring, and whether each is real or a trial.
- Usability — 8 of 10. We count false positives on our clean-software set, nag screens and upsells, and setup time.
- Value — 11 of 20. We compare first-year price, renewal price and devices covered.
Features earned full marks because nothing in the list is a trial. Value lost the most points because the renewal is the highest in this group.
Where Norton 360 Deluxe stands out
Norton caught 99.5% of our samples and scored 6/6 in AV-Test. The unlimited VPN, password manager and 50 GB backup are included rather than sold as upgrades, and Norton Family parental controls ship in the box. The 100% Virus Protection Promise refund backs the protection claim.

For a household that will actually use the VPN on phones, store passwords and set rules for children, the feature total is the strongest argument for the subscription.
How the bundled technology works
The VPN routes your device's traffic through an encrypted tunnel to a server, so the network you are on cannot read it. A password manager stores credentials in an encrypted vault and fills them into sites and apps. Dark-web monitoring checks breach dumps for your email address and alerts you if it appears. Parental controls filter sites and set time limits on a child's device. Backup copies selected files to cloud storage on a schedule.

What you get: platforms, devices and components
The subscription covers 5 devices across Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. There is no free version. The VPN is unlimited, the password manager is included, and identity monitoring covers dark-web monitoring with LifeLock on higher tiers. AV-Test protection is 6.0 of 6. First year is $49.99 and renewal is $119.99 per year.
How Norton 360 Deluxe compares with the rivals we tested
Bitdefender Total Security scored 8.9 at $49.99, renewing at $99.99 per year for 5 devices. It matched Norton's 6.0 AV-Test score, but its VPN is capped at 200 MB per day, its password manager is a trial and identity monitoring is an add-on. Norton includes all three.
ESET HOME Security Essential scored 8.2 at $49.99 and renews at the same $49.99 per year, but covers 3 devices, has no free version, no identity monitoring, and its VPN and password manager sit in higher tiers. Norton covers 5 devices and bundles both.
Microsoft Defender scored 8.1 and is free on every Windows PC, with a 6.0 AV-Test score. It has no VPN and no password manager, and identity monitoring requires Microsoft 365. Norton costs more but supplies the missing pieces.

Where Norton 360 Deluxe falls short
Value at renewal and performance are the two places it lost ground. The $119.99 renewal is the most expensive in this test, and our copy test recorded the heaviest slowdown of the paid suites. Persistent upsell notifications also cost usability points. On parental controls, the feature is present, but it is a separate app to configure rather than something you set once during installation.

Is Norton 360 Deluxe worth the price?
First year is $49.99. The measured renewal is $119.99 per year, which is the figure to check before you subscribe, because the bundle only pays off if you would otherwise buy the VPN, password manager and backup separately.
Who should buy Norton 360 Deluxe?
Families who will use the whole bundle. If you need antivirus, an unlimited VPN, a password manager, backup and parental controls under one subscription and one renewal, this is the suite that delivers all of it without trials or add-ons.
